What happened to Evernote?
Evernote, once a leader in the note-taking app market, has faced a turbulent journey, marked by a series of challenges that have raised concerns about its reliability. Once celebrated for its innovative approach to note management, it struggled to maintain its edge over time. The company underwent numerous leadership changes, faced criticism over privacy policies, and encountered backlash from users over pricing and feature removals.
These issues culminated in a significant shift when Evernote was sold to the Italian company Bending Spoons. This acquisition has further fueled uncertainties about Evernote's future direction, and overall commitment to serving its long-standing user base. In light of these developments, many users have started to question the safety and stability of storing their notes on Evernote, leading them to seek more secure and dependable alternatives.
In comparison, MyInfo is owned and steadily developed by the same private company since 1999.
