We're excited to share that MyInfo 8.5 is here, packed with new updates that make managing your notes and attachments simpler and more intuitive. This update is all about making things easier for everyone, from avid note-takers to those of you who are just starting with MyInfo. Let's dive into what's new!
Configurable Global Hotkeys
Now you can make MyInfo instantly available in your daily work — no matter which app you're using. You decide which key combinations trigger your favorite commands:
- Activate MyInfo
- Create new note
- Toggle AutoPaste
- Paste Clipboard content as new note
You can configure them in Tools > Options > Global Hotkeys.
Stability Update
Various stability issues from the original MyInfo 8.5 were fixed. Dragging text from the note editor to the note list works again.
Note Actions Menu Improvements
The recently introduced Note Actions Menu is now available when multiple notes are selected. We've also improved some of the commands in it to work when multiple notes are selected, including Add Favorite and Print Note.
Improvements & Bug Fixes
We've also made a bunch of smaller tweaks and fixed some bugs to improve your MyInfo experience:
- When using Global Search or Quick Filter via the keyboard in the note editor, the selected text (if any) is now automatically used as the search query.
- Improved text file handling — importing plain text files is faster and produces cleaner link formatting.
- Merging tags by renaming one tag to an existing tag now works correctly.
has:search operators are now case-insensitive (e.g.,has:imageandhas:Imagework the same).- Copying and pasting code snippets no longer adds extra newlines.
- Negative searches (e.g.,
-has:lock) now work correctly in Global Search. - Several dark theme fixes for improved consistency.
